Airmic Learning & Development: Looking ahead to 2022

As we enter a New Year, minds turn to goals for the next 12 months and beyond. Personal and professional development feature highly on most people’s lists. It’s certainly on Airmic’s mind, too, says Adam Ireland, Airmic’s Learning and Development Manager.

Airmic is proud to continue providing a suite of exciting learning and CPD opportunities for our members, and 2022 will be no exception.

In particular, we look forward to returning to blended delivery in the first half of the year as pandemic easing allows, offering a flexible mix of physical and virtual sessions for our members.

Academy and Airmic LIVE

You can look forward to another bumper year of Airmic Academy webinars across a wide range of topics.  Our regular, weekly news style Airmic LIVE Series brings you the latest developments and thinking in the world of risk and insurance.

fastTrack

The second year of our two-year fastTrack Programme – open to all members but aimed primarily at those in the first four years of their career – will continue at pace. It offers 15 sessions across three specialist streams: risk, insurance and professional skills. Topics include captives, organisational resilience, emerging and connected risks, parametric insurance, people risk and framing arguments and business presentations for the board.

Business Excellence Programme 2022

January 2022 has seen the launch of this year’s successful and popular annual Business Excellence Programme with 20+ members exploring key aspects of business and the role of risk management. In this first session there were six modules, including finance, technology, business models, people and corporate governance.

Field trips, new leadership masterclass series and more

Look out for physical field trips to organisations exploring innovation and creativity, a planned new leadership masterclass series for those in more senior roles and potential new digital learning experiences.

We are responding to the findings of our 2021-member learning and development survey. Initiatives around clarification of member learning opportunities, improved integration of learning activity with the Airmic competency framework for risk management professionals, tweaks to our mentoring scheme and improved learning evaluation will all feature in 2022.

CPD opportunities

Additional CPD opportunities will present themselves across our wide range of events.  They include

  • The annual Airmic Conference
  • Subject-specific forums,
  • Special interest groups,
  • Our extensive technical research agenda,
  • The regular podcast series ‘Airmic Talks’
  • Airmic’s weekly curated Friday reading list

On demand

And if you can’t snap up all the learning opportunities available at the time, all of our webinars and resources are available on demand in our library at https://www.airmic.com/technical/library

Here’s to a healthy, positive and productive 2022!
