Airmic’s annual Business Excellence Programme will return in January 2022 and the application process is now open.

Free to Airmic members, sponsored by AXA XL and supervised by Glasgow Caledonian University, Airmic’s popular Business Excellence Programme is designed for the risk professional ready to use a foundation of professional qualifications and experience to move forward to the next stage of their career.

Delivered by leading industry and academic practitioners, the 12 month programme takes the risk professional through a journey of six half day modules core to effective business management to expand the risk professional’s awareness of the role of risk management and increase their impact and effectiveness in a successful organisation – Context Setting & Corporate Purpose, Finance, Information & Technology, Business Models, People, and Corporate Governance.

“Offering the Airmic member 25+ CPD hours and the ability to network with fellow professionals during the programme, at other events including annual Conference, and via the Business Excellence alumni, the programme is very popular. With delegate places capped at 20, they fill fast,” said Adam Ireland, Airmic’s Learning and Development Manager.

Insurer AXA XL used the occasion of the Airmic Annual Conference in Brighton on 5-6 October to announce the insurer’s continued sponsorship of the Business Excellence Programme.

Speaking at the event, Elie Hanna, AXA XL’s Chief Distribution Officer, said: “AXA XL has been a proud partner of the Airmic Business Excellence Programme (BEP) since its inception in 2018 and I’m delighted that we’ll be partnering with Airmic for a further year and continue our link with this highly successful Programme.

“The BEP is part of AXA XL’s commitment to proactively engage with our clients to move us from claims payer to risk partner, and this willingness to work in partnership to learn, create and develop sits right alongside the spirit of this Programme. We look forward to supporting the Programme in 2022,” she added.

Commenting on the agreement, Julia Graham, CEO of Airmic, said: “Airmic is delighted that AXA XL is renewing its strategic partnership with Airmic for such an important part of the Airmic member Professional Journey. Thank you AXA XL.”
