Airmic launches new free Academic membership

A new category of Airmic membership has been launched, aimed at those in the academic sector. The initiative is part of Airmic’s continued efforts to work with those in the higher education sector and support the professional journey of our membership.

Airmic already works closely with several universities and education institutions including Glasgow Caledonian University, City Business School and Exeter University, but is intent on expanding its reach into the academic sector.

“The risk profession has been thrust into the global spotlight in 2020 and Airmic has a role to play in ensuring its resources and network is made available to those in the academic sector,” said Olabisi Porteous, Membership Coordinator.

“Airmic members already benefit from the Association’s existing relationships with universities and strengthening this connection will only bring further advantages.”

The Academic membership is free for those who meeting the following criteria:

  • University academics: Professors, lecturers & researchers
  • University course coordinators and researchers

To apply for membership under this category, join via the Airmic website and complete a membership form selecting Academic membership.
