Nominations open for the Airmic Excellence Awards

Airmic plans to round off a successful 2022 by launching the Airmic Excellence Awards.

The new awards will take place on 6 December, at this year’s Airmic Annual Dinner.

The purpose is to recognise the outstanding achievements of Airmic members and to honour significant contributions to the risk and insurance profession. These awards are planned to take place annually. 

There are five award categories:

• Rising star 
• Outstanding leadership   
• Making a difference in Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DE&I)
• Insurance innovation 
• Risk Management innovation

Chair of the Airmic Board, Tim Graham, will announce the award winners at the Airmic Annual Dinner, to which all those shortlisted will be invited to attend as guests of Airmic.

Tim said: “The last three years have seen unprecedented challenges and change for risk and insurance managers alike. The recent geopolitical, environmental, economic, and pandemic events have required all of our members to think and act differently to enable businesses to successfully respond.

“There have been tremendous examples of success which you will have either personally led or seen that have elevated the importance of risk and insurance manager roles to corporate boards.

“I believe this year is the ‘time to recognise more than ever the professionalism, leadership, and excellence from the very best of Airmic’s members. Airmic invites you to nominate yourself, your colleague, or a peer from our Association and I look forward to presenting the awards later this year. Good Luck!”

How to Enter

Nominations are free and open for members to nominate themselves or another member, with their permission, from 26 September and to a deadline of 31 October 2022.

Airmic will announce the shortlisted nominations 14 November 2022, along with further details to be posted on the Airmic website.

Award Winners will feature in the January 2023 edition of Airmic News.
