New hub attraction announced as Annual Conference heads for a new record

Anyone who attends the Airmic annual conference next month is invited to 'the hub'- a mini-theatre near the association's stand in the exhibition hall.

On offer will be a series of twenty-minute talks on a wide range of subjects - all part of the 'The Future is Now' theme of the event. The subjects vary from big data to how 'the internet of things' might affect your fridge and why blockchain is making data storage a hot topic. There is no booking - just turn up and see if there is space.

The numbers registering for the event continue to point to a new record attendance, confirming its status as by far the biggest risk management conference in the UK. By the third week of April 600 people had enrolled - more than ever before at this stage of the process.

The main theme of the conference is how the world of business has already changed in response to the digital revolution and, with it, the demands and opportunities presented to risk managers and insurance buyers. However, traditional topics such as claims, construction risk, D&O, health and safety and supply chains are also well represented.

The event takes place at the ACC Liverpool from June 11-13. Attendance is free to Airmic members. Register here.
