UK whistle-blowing charity Protect has appointed Julia Graham, the CEO of Airmic, as a trustee.

Julia has a background in international insurance, enterprise risk management and compliance, with four decades of experience in a global insurance company and a global law firm. She is the UK Government Crown Representative for Risk and Insurance.

Julia said: “I am delighted to be appointed a Protect trustee. Protect is a long-standing and  respected organisation, well known within the financial services sector for its whistle-blowing expertise. I am looking forward to supporting the growth of Protect’s Benchmark – in financial services and other sectors. Protect offers a vital service to so many whistle-blowers, but I am also very keen to be involved with Protect’s work with employers around improving the culture of organisations to encourage employees to speak out before crises occur.”

Chair of Protect, Paul Boyle, said: “The Board is delighted to appoint Julia as a Trustee for Protect. She has a wealth of experience in risk management and compliance, and her knowledge in this specialist area will be invaluable to Protect. We warmly welcome her and look forward to working with her.”
