December can be a stressful time of year. If you’re finding the financial strain of Christmas difficult due to already challenging circumstances, The Insurance Charities is there to support current and former insurance employees in the sector and their dependants.

The charity works throughout the UK and Ireland. Last year, it awarded nearly £1 million to help pay for things such as household appliances, school uniforms, funeral costs, rehabilitation and property adaptations. The charity transforms insurance people’s lives for the better, by providing them with a lifeline when it’s needed.

You may have suffered domestic abuse, relationship breakdown, illness or redundancy and need one-off or ongoing financial support. Perhaps a colleague you know is going through a difficult time and could benefit from such help.

All applications are dealt with in confidence – the charity is independent of any employer or professional body. It doesn’t matter what role you’ve had in the industry, and both working and non-working people can apply.

We can also deliver practical support through our partners at Shelter, the Alzheimer’s Society and Aware in Ireland.
