Former NATO commander to speak at Business Excellence breakfast

Alumni and the new cohort of Airmic’s Business Excellence programme have been invited to a virtual breakfast during Airmic Fest featuring a talk from Sir Richard Shirreff, former NATO Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe.

The breakfast will take place on Thursday, 24 September 8-9.15am and will include the option of a breakfast delivery to delegates homes!

AXA XL have been sponsors since the programme was created in 2018 and Sean McGovern, CEO for the UK and Lloyd’s market at AXA XL, will host the breakfast and provide an update on the insurer’s support of the programme and why it is important to them.

Sir Richard was born in Kenya and after graduating from Oxford, served in the British Army for 37 years, commanding solders on operations or in combat at every level. He rose to the highest rank before retiring from the Army as NATO’s Deputy Supreme Commander Europe.

He published the bestselling novel ‘2017: War with Russia’ in the UK, USA and Poland which has been published into eight languages.
