Airmic’s annual ERM Forum will be held virtually on 3 November and run from 8.45am to 2pm with a series of keynotes and panel discussions on topics including corporate purpose, the climate crisis and organisational resilience.

The Forum is titled ‘Accelerating the risk intelligent organisation’ for 2020 and will be opened by Julia Graham, Airmic’s Deputy CEO and Technical Director. It will feature keynotes on ‘Risk Management in the Boardroom’ by Mary O’Connor, Chief Risk Officer of KPMG, and ‘What now? What next?’ by Robb Eadie. Chief Risk Officer at BHP.

Registration for the ERM Forum will open on 13 October.

“Enterprise risk management has been thrust centre stage in 2020 as organisations, nation states and global institutions respond to the pandemic,” said Ms Graham.

“Coronavirus has not eliminated the other huge challenges facing all of us, however, so there will also be presentations on the climate crisis, resilience and boardroom engagement.”

The Forum will also feature a meeting of the ERM Special Interest Group with guest speaker Michele Wucker, author of The Gray Rhino: How to Recognise and Act on the Obvious Dangers We Ignore, joining the group.

Other keynote speakers include Peter Cheese, CEO of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), and James Crask, Head of Resilience Consulting at Marsh.

Following on from the ERM Forum, the 2021 ERM Series will be launched with monthly 75-minute seminars produced throughout the year.
