Airmic expands regional activity

Airmic is launching a series of meetings and activity in locations around the UK to better support members outside of the capital.

The first Regional Interest Group will take place on 14 May for members based in the Cambridgeshire region. Contact Georgina Wainwright for more details.

For many Airmic members, especially those based outside London, the risk and insurance manager role is completed by just one or two people which makes networking with peers even more important, but attending London events is not always feasible.

"Member feedback has therefore shown that there is strong demand for events to bring together like-minded members in a local setting to informally discuss current topics, trends and emerging risks," commented Georgina Wainwright, Airmic's market development manager.

"The group will be open to members of any seniority or based in any industry who are looking to network and share ideas with their peers."

Airmic is planning sessions in Exeter and Glasgow, and would be delighted to hear from members with ideas for other locations, Ms Wainwright added.
