Chairman thanks members and guests

Airmic chairman Lynda Lucas has thanked members and guests at the 2018 Airmic Dinner for raising £10,000 for her charity of the year, The National Literacy Trust.

"I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who kindly donated money," she said. "It is such an important cause - not only in improving literacy in this country, but also in helping people climb out of poverty. Its director, Jonathan Douglas, was thrilled with your generosity. Thank you again."

Ms Lucas gave a special thank you to Airmic member Charles van Oppen for his donation of 50 children's books.

Members can still donate to the charity here.
