The board of Airmic has appointed four members to the board, the association has announced.
The new directors are: Emily Jenner, managing director and global head of risk strategy and risk appetite at Standard Chartered Bank; Alison Hill, group head of enterprise risk at Centrica; James Kelly, treasurer and head of insurance at Pearson; and Aileen Lowe, insurance director at KPMG.
The new directors will take up their positions with immediate effect until June, when the new appointees will submit themselves to election by members at the annual general meeting.
Lynda Lucas, Airmic chairman, welcomed the new directors: "We are thrilled to have four such high-calibre risk professionals join the Airmic board. We have taken particular care to appoint members whose experience broaden the skills of the existing directors and therefore bring greater diversity to the way Airmic is governed. Each of them will be of great value to Airmic and its membership, and I very much look forward to working with them."
John Ludlow, Airmic CEO, also welcomed the new additions: "Each one of the four directors will bring something new to our board, so I'm delighted. I would like to thank everyone that applied for the positions. I couldn't have been happier with the selection process - the sheer volume of high-quality applicants was a real testament to how engaged and active our membership is."
