Flagship course with City Business School tailored for ambitious risk professionals

The 2020 Risk Leadership Programme with City Business School is now open for bookings, the association has announced.

Airmic's flagship 12-month programme is tailored for ambitious risk professionals seeking leadership positions. The course is a unique blend of academic learning, personal and professional development, and leadership progression, according to Julia Graham, Airmic's deputy CEO and technical director.

"Courage is one of the most critical qualities for a future risk leader. But to have courage, you need confidence, and for confidence you need competence," she comments. "This course gives risk professionals the opportunity to step up their professional gear by developing deeper expertise and leadership capabilities to help their organisations to navigate these challenging and exciting times."

The Programme, now in its fourth year, provides cutting-edge thinking from academics and experts in organisational leadership; helps students build collaborative relationships, form influential networks, enhance their strategic decision-making qualities and appreciate the implications for leadership in the digital age.

The course is run with City Business School, a triple-accredited institution, ranked in the top 1% of business schools worldwide.

The Airmic Professional Journey is designed to support Airmic members as they travel from their first role developing on-the-job knowledge and experience, to achieving professional qualifications, growing commercial knowledge and skills, through to leadership roles with a position of influence. As part of the overall Airmic learning and development experience, three tailored programmes are offered by Airmic: fastTrack; Business Excellence; and Risk Leadership.

Students that complete the course will join the Airmic Leadership Group and the Risk Leaders' Alumni alongside graduates from the 2017, 2018 and 2019 programmes.

Programme Four starts 23rd September 2020 - places are strictly limited. For more information or to reserve a place contact: julia.graham@airmic.com.
