The session will focus on the history and development of the product to date; what it covers as standard nowadays; how the policy coverage is delivered; and the direction of travel for the future evolution of cover. Specifically, attendees will learn about its relevance to a wider audience than is often appreciated and what power it places in the hands of the policyholder at the moment of need. This will also include an overview of some examples of industry verticals and territories where the cover has been supported strongly, based on real-life case studies. The session will also cover how a policy is rated from an underwriting perspective.

Learning Objectives:
Identify clearly what the cover responds to and how.
Be able to cite why it is an increasingly mainstream consideration for risk buyers.
Explain the history of the product and the direction of travel for the future evolution of the cover.
Appreciate the risk factors that influence the underwriting process.
Be equipped with a basic understanding of some case study examples.
