This session will explore how risk and insurance managers can better align both with each other and with the risk profile of their organisation using risk registers as a common framework for decision-making. We will consider how a well-designed ERM approach can create a clearer view of organisational risk, support better conversations about risk appetite, treatment and transfer, and help connect strategic, operational and insurable exposures.
The session will then look at the role of an integrated risk register solution in bringing this to life, providing a practical, consistent and visual way to capture, assess, monitor and report risk information. Finally, we will consider how an effective risk register combined with an ERM approach impacts the role of the insurance and/or risk manager, shifting focus to higher value tasks and away from data collation and management.
