Airmic has formed a steering group tasked with developing a sustainability strategy for the Association.
The group will advise on matters that affect the long-term viability and success of Airmic, including – but not limited to – environmental, social and governance issues.
The group is chaired by board member Glenn Ellis and includes representatives from senior members, the Board, Shadow Board and the Airmic senior leadership team.
The group will develop an Airmic Sustainability Strategy and Framework, devise appropriate ESG strategic goals, and advise the Board on Airmic’s appetite and tolerance for ESG-related governance risks.
“Like all organisations, Airmic must ensure it optimises the conditions needed to thrive and grow in the long term, and to continually monitor and respond to any changes in that environment,” commented Ellis.
The group’s aim is to formalise that process while ensuring that the new sustainability strategy aligns closely with Airmic’s business plan, he added.
“We are fortunate to have a natural depth of experience within our membership and we will also be drawing on the expertise of relevant partners, so I’m very optimistic about the positive long-term outcomes we will deliver for our members.”
