AIRMIC WELCOMES NEW CHAIR RICHARD HOULT

16th September 2025

Airmic’s Annual General Meeting on 4 September provided the opportunity for outgoing Chair Fiona Davidge to welcome her successor, Richard Hoult, who was elected to the role.

Looking back on her year as Chair, Fiona said:

It has been a great honour to serve as Chair of Airmic over the past year. I am deeply grateful to the Board, our members, partners and the executive team for their support, collaboration and energy throughout my tenure. I wish Richard every success as he takes on the role – I know his experience and commitment will ensure Airmic continues to thrive.”

Richard brings to the role extensive leadership experience in both finance and risk management across multiple sectors, including technology, utilities and manufacturing, and has been an active contributor to Airmic’s strategic direction through his work on the Board.

Richard said: “It is an exciting time to be part of Airmic, as we navigate an era of uncertainty shaped by geopolitical shocks, advances in technology/AI and rapid change. As Chair, I am committed to supporting our members and partners, strengthening our community, and ensuring Airmic remains a powerful voice with government, regulators and the wider profession.”

Julia Graham, CEO, Airmic, said: “Our profession stands at a pivotal moment. If we are all to thrive, we must recognise that talent and technology are joined, and if we are to attract the right talent and future-proof our profession, we must be better at promoting the amazing career opportunities on offer and encouraging new entrants to step our way.

Airmic’s voice is heard, and we command a position of influence. This will be especially true as we start the exciting journey of the UK becoming a captive domicile – with Airmic playing a leading role!

“I thank Fiona, Richard and other members of our Board, committees, steering groups, communities and the Airmic team, for their passion and commitment and our partners and other stakeholders for their support, without whom we would be unable to deliver much of what we have and plan to achieve.”
