Airmic R & D Manager Katie Moore has left Airmic to take a role with one of Britain’s largest companies. Katie will be joining Vodafone as Group Risk Manager, and commented before leaving that the Airmic role “solidified my view that Airmic serves a vital purpose to our profession”

“Not only has my time at Airmic given me great experience in all areas of our profession and a brilliant network, it’s been a lot of fun”, said Katie. “I hope all of my work has been useful but I am most proud of our work on Tomorrow’s Risk Leadership and the Changing World of Risk. The chance to work with the FRC, Cabinet Office and British Standards Institution also made me realise how big a difference Airmic can make to our profession”

While looking forward to her new challenge, Katie also pointed out how valuable her time at Airmic had been to her career, “The levels of exposure and network that come from such a unique role have not only supported me in achieving my next steps, but will continue to help to develop my career for years to come. I was truly fortunate to have such a position at an early stage of my career.”

“I’d like to thank John, Patrick, Julia, the Secretariat and the Board for the support and opportunities they have given me over my time at Airmic. The person to fill the role will be very lucky to work with such an incredible team, with such an important task to do”. Katie’s new role at Vodafone will allow her to maintain her relationship with Airmic, “I’m looking forward to becoming a member of Airmic again and continuing to support the work they do”.
