Senior Airmic members interested in joining the association’s governing body are invited to express an interest. There are three vacancies which have arisen in the normal cause of business.
All members will receive formal notification later this month, and those interested in applying have until January 31 to do so in the prescribed manner. A sub-committee of the board will then consider the applications and will recommend to the board, at the March Board meeting, the co-option of three successful candidates.

“We regard diversity as a strength – diversity by background, gender, experience, geographical location and sector,” says Hurrell. “The more different perspectives we have around the table, the stronger we are.”
He adds that, as well as helping to guide the association and putting something back into the community, being a board member is a great way to exchange ideas with your peer group and to get all the latest information about risk and commercial insurance.
“Like so many roles, being a board member is what you make of it. I know from meeting them that Airmic has lots of experienced and enthusiastic people who have something to offer. We would love to hear from them.”
