fastTrack Forum open for bookings

Members of fastTrack, the Airmic section for less experienced risk managers, can now book their places at the Forum on February 23rd. This is the second time the event has been held since fastTrack came into being, and it follows exceptionally positive feedback from the Forum in 2014.

The main theme is to discuss the skills and experience that the 'stars of tomorrow' will require as they make their way through their careers. As Airmic has often pointed out, risk management is rapidly gaining in status and the opportunities it offers practitioners. To benefit, however, risk managers will need a wider set of 'soft' and business skills than was once the case.

The Forum, to be held at the Willis Building, will open with addresses from Airmic chair Patrick Smith and Lloyd's chief executive Inga Beale. It will cover both insurance and ERM, and close with informal drinks.

Airmic's partners can also send up to two people per organisation. To enrol, please go to [link to come]

Other fastTrack events in the pipeline

  • A two-day Marsh development programme on “demystifying the broker” 11th and 12th November, to be attended by 18 fastTrackers.
  • Lloyd’s are repeating their two-day development programme in February after the resounding success of the inaugural programme this year.
  • fastTrack will be running another series of foundation 'Intro to Risk/Insurance' workshops. This time they will each be accompanied by a 2/4 page summary document.
