Baroness Karren Brady and world-renowned behavioural economist Tim Harford have been revealed as the headline speakers at Airmic’s annual conference Raising the Profile of Risk.
Brady, known for her resilience and glittering business career has been described as the ‘first lady of football’. One of the UK’s best known business personalities, she became managing director of Birmingham City FC at just 23 and is now vice chairman of West Ham. Her role as Alan Sugar’s aide on the TV series The Apprentice has made her an even bigger household name.
Brady will be giving the closing keynote speech in the Liverpool ACC in June this year, talking about the highs and lows of running a major football club, how to combat fear of failure and why hunger is the most valuable asset in business.
Award-winning Financial Times columnist, author and Radio 4 presenter, Harford is best known for his books The Logic of Life and The Undercover Economist which have sold well over a million copies. He is renowned for using economic analysis to unpick the world around us and to consider what lies behind risk, decision making and commerce. Harford will be giving the opening keynote speech in Liverpool.
