fastTrack – initial training programmes over-subscribed, more planned for later in the year

The first two Airmic fastTrack insurance workshops, for professionals new to risk management, were fully subscribed and received highly favourable feedback from those who took part.  Such has been the demand that the organisers may re-run the events for those who were unable to get places.

A full house of fifteen people attended ‘Principles of Insurance’ (presented by Willis) and ‘Administration of Insurance Programmes’ (presented by AIG). The format was kept informal to encourage lively question and answer sessions. All reported afterwards that the knowledge acquired would help them in their roles and advised that the content was pitched at the right level.

“The response so far gives us a problem we’re pleased to have – how to meet demand for these sessions,” said fastTrack co-ordinator Georgina Wainwright. “Nearly all the places for the insurance workshops went on the first day of booking, and clearly there is scope for more workshops.”

Intro to risk management courses over-subscribed

The fastTrack “Intro to Risk Management” courses were fully subscribed within little more than a day of becoming available. However, it may still be worth registering in case people drop out. The sessions cover: Risk Assessment; The Risk Agenda; Risk Response; Risk Communications; Risk Governance.

“Thoroughly enjoyed the course and found the content to be very informative and relevant to my current role.  I am very new to the Insurance profession, and I definitely benefited with the level of technical content, the plain English that both presenters used and the duration of the course.” feedback from attendee questionnaire.
