Airmic is proud to announce a long-term partnership with a London-based charity that supports young people overcome their personal challenges to fulfill their potential.
Renaissance Foundation aims to bring hope to, and empower, young people in London facing difficulties. The charity focuses on opening up opportunities, investing in personal development and creating moments of inspiration.
In a change from previous years – when Airmic has supported a different charity each year – Airmic is establishing an ongoing relationship with Renaissance to drive a bigger impact and nurture deeper ties that extend beyond fundraising.
Airmic chair, Richard Hoult, who was closely involved in selecting the charity, said:
“Establishing a long-term charity relationship is an important shift. It will give Airmic the chance to have a meaningful impact – not just from our annual fundraising but also through community engagement and opening opportunities from within our network of members and partners.”
Renaissance was selected in part because of its focus on young people and also due to being local to the City of London. “Renaissance is a small, dynamic, innovative charity that has a big impact on young people’s lives – right here in the heart of London, the global epicentre of insurance,” continued Hoult. “It’s a fantastic charity and we are really excited to explore how the Airmic community can add value.”
Airmic will launch its partnership with Renaissance at its Annual Dinner on 9 December, where guests will hear from the charity’s CEO as well as some of the young adults whose lives have been transformed by the charity’s work.
