Leadership Masterclass Series 2024

We’re delighted to announce the launch of this year’s hugely popular Leadership Masterclass Series.

Designed as two-hour interactive breakfast-style sessions and held in person at central London venues, each Masterclass is led by a panel of leading speakers offering members a deep dive into crucial leadership themes all through a risk and insurance lens and with a keen eye on the current and future business environment. Networking opportunities are also included.

Free to attend as part of Airmic membership, although targeted at those in senior positions, the Masterclass Series is open to all Airmic members including those who want to develop essential leadership behaviours early.

Starting in April, the 2024 Series will focus on the seminal topic of artificial intelligence, taking a deep dive into this generational subject across five critical themes:

  • Current and Future Trends in AI
  • Ethical AI Practice
  • Cyber Security, Data Privacy, and AI
  • AI and the Future of Work
  • The Future of AI in Insurance

Masterclass 1: Exploring the Digital Landscape: AI in 2024 and beyond - Wednesday 23rd April 2024 (9-11am)

In the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence, understanding current and future trends in AI is critical to developing strategies to capitalise on the opportunities and mitigate the risks. This Masterclass will focus on the latest, and likely future developments in AI, positioning its current status in 2024 and in the years ahead.

Masterclass 2: Balancing Innovation and Responsibility: Navigating AI Ethics in the Digital Age - Thursday 27th June 2024 (9-11am)

In today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, artificial intelligence plays a pivotal role in driving innovation across various industries. However, with innovation comes the responsibility to ensure ethical practices are upheld in the development, deployment and use of AI systems. This event aims to provide leaders with a comprehensive understanding of the ethical considerations surrounding AI technologies and the necessary strategies for navigating these complexities effectively.

Masterclass 3: Securing the Digital Frontier: Managing AI, Data Privacy and Cyber Security - Wednesday 4th September 2024 (9-11am)

In the digital age, ensuring the security of data, protecting privacy, and managing cyber security risks have become paramount. This Masterclass delves into the intricate intersection between artificial intelligence, data privacy and cyber security, equipping participants with the knowledge and tools to charter an effective course for their organisation through this complex and developing area.

Masterclass 4: Adapting to the New Reality: Navigating AI and the Future of Work -Wednesday 16th October 2024 (9-11am)

Designed to equip leaders with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to steer their teams and workforce through the changing nature of the workplace increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence technologies, this Masterclass will explore the complex relationship between AI and the future of work including its impact on various industries, job roles and employee well-being.

Masterclass 5: Insuring Tomorrow: Charting the Future of AI in Insurance - Wednesday 13th November 2024 (9-11am)

Artificial intelligence is already playing a transformative role in the insurance industry. Through discussion, participants will delve into the various applications, challenges and opportunities that AI presents within the insurance sector.
