More than 1,500 risk and insurance professionals attended the Airmic Annual Conference in Liverpool with education, networking and wellness at the heart of activities.

The Conference delegation included approximately 350 Airmic members who enjoyed keynote sessions from, among others, sports stars Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson and Ugo Monye, and Sir Richard Sheriff, formerly Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe for NATO. The keynote sessions and seminars have been recorded and are available to watch on the conference website.

“We were delighted to return to Liverpool this year and be joined by so many members and partners of our profession,” said Julia Graham, CEO of Airmic.

“The Conference demonstrated that risk and insurance is a vibrant and exciting place to be, and we have a central role in tackling the perfect storm of challenges coming the way of businesses and wider society.”

Sustainability was a theme at the heart of the Liverpool event with the awards for best exhibition stands based on sustainability efforts.

Rushton International were awarded Best Small Stand, while Liberty Specialty Markets (pictured) won Best Large Stand.

“The Exhibition Hall was a fantastic place to be with our partners making real effort to follow our sustainability theme and making their stands a relaxing, fun and engaging environment,” said Susi Ozkurt, Airmic’s Head of Events.

“A particular well done goes to Rushton International and Liberty for winning the two Best Stand awards.”

The Conference also saw the launch of six new publications, including the Airmic Annual Survey and EXPLAINED Guides on broker tenders and employee benefit programmes.
