The Association is delighted to announce that on the 30 November 2022, members will have the opportunity to visit Ricardo at its Technical Centre in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex.

With a focus on maximising efficiency and eliminating waste, Ricardo is a global strategic engineering and environmental consultancy that specialises in the transport, energy and scarce resources sectors.

Ricardo’s work extends across a range of market sectors including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, rail, defence, motorsport, energy and environment. In addition to technical consultancy services, Ricardo has in-house engineering capabilities that enable it to design and deliver high-quality prototypes and low-volume manufacturing of complex products and assemblies, including engines, transmissions, electric motors and generators, battery packs and fuel cell systems.

Adam Ireland, Head of Learning at Airmic explains the purpose of Airmic Field Trips: “Creative and innovative in their design, Field Trips are designed to give Airmic members the exclusive opportunity to get away from their day to day work and explore in-depth key operations at chosen organisations in environments that might be less familiar to them. Not only are they free to Airmic members, they offer a great way of networking with fellow professionals and also boosting your CPD hours.”

Featuring presentations from key members of the Ricardo team, group activities and a tour of the Ricardo site, the day will run from 9.30am – 3pm, and promises to be an exciting and fascinating event with a strong focus on innovation, ESG and climate change, and will be of particular interest to those manging and developing approaches to ESG risks and opportunities.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided with members expected to cover their own travel costs.

Numbers are capped at 16, so places are limited for this exclusive event and are provided on a first come first served basis. Register your interest now by emailing fieldtrips@airmic.com.
