Surge in demand for annual dinner.
There has been unprecedented demand for tickets to the Airmic annual dinner, with half the tables sold out two weeks after going on sale.
Last year’s dinner, the first to be held at the Hilton Park Lane, broke all previous records. The 2012 event looks like going even higher.
“Attendance has been on the up for a few years, and people have been very positive about our move to the Hilton,” said organiser Susi Ozkurt. “We’re looking forward to a really buzzy occasion next month.”
The dinner takes place on 20th November. Places can be booked via www.airmicdinner 2012.com
The guest dinner speaker this year is comedian Marcus Brigstocke, who is about to embark on ”The Brig Society,” his long-awaited autumn tour. Marcus has appeared on countless TV and radio shows, and looks at “every aspect of life in Britain today through the medium of jokes.”
This is what one critic had to say about him: ‘Rare is the stand-up show that makes you laugh, think and then fight back the tears. This is it’
