Airmic’s technical output continues to expand, with three reports recently published, the second invitation to tender for the global database (see home page) and an ambitious programme for 2013. Insurance and enterprise risk are both well represented in the schedule.
The most eagerly awaited technical output of 2013 is undoubtedly ‘Roads to Resilience’, due to be unveiled at the annual conference in June, as a follow-up to ‘Roads to Ruin’. Airmic has commissioned Cranfield University to examine the factors that enable organisations to successfully negotiate potential crises or avoid them altogether.
The recent report by technical director Paul Hopkin on supply chain insurance had been downloaded nearly 700 times within three weeks of its appearance on www.airmic.com, confirming that this is an important topic for members.
