The Multinational Programme Design Tool, designed by AIG, utilises information from over 225 countries.

It is intended equally for insurance buyers who are considering opening up operations in a new territory or who simply wish to know whether a policy meets their own risk assessment criteria. Based on answers to a few simple questions taking account of needs and preferences, considerations of local regulations, tax, coverage and claims issues, it illustrates how particular exposures, business strategies and risk sensitivities impact programme structure. After an interactive online session, buyers will have access to a comprehensive report on the findings.

“Structuring an international programme can be incredibly complex, and we are grateful to AIG for their support,” said Airmic chief executive John Hurrell.
