Last year 630 members – around 60% of the total – attended at least one of the association’s events. That is a rise of 5% from an already exceptional level.
In all, aggregate attendance by members reached a record 1,851 in 2013, a 9% rise. And these figures do not include those who are involved in other ways – for example by downloading the growing volumes of technical publications or reading this newsletter. The number of website visits and downloads from www.airmic.comis also higher than ever.
Every major type of Airmic event achieved record numbers last year, most notably the annual conference and the annual lecture. Another big driver was the Academy, whose workshops continue to grow in number without any drop in demand. With even more of these sessions coming on stream, and with the new fastTrack initiative appealing to younger members who might otherwise have stayed away, expect the total to go on rising.
