WEBINAR: ERM series March - WEF Global Risks Report 2021

4th February 2021 11:00 – 12:00

This will be a live streamed event, you can register here: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/4714584226593349648

The Global Risks Report 2021 examines how the socio-economic fallout and disparities from the COVID-19 pandemic have deepened underlying structural inequalities and aggravated critical risks. The report stresses the implications of widening digital gaps, youth disenfranchisement, a fraught geopolitical landscape, mounting pressures for businesses and reflects on the challenges of managing the pandemic and lessons preparedness and resilience. The session will set out the big issues and examine some results from the survey.

It will also dive into a few key issues (e.g. evolving cyber, climate and industrial transformation challenges). The report is an important source of intelligence for business leaders and risk professionals and the session aims to highlight new thoughts for preparedness and resilience.

Fractures caused by the pandemic are widening gaps in health, jobs and digital access, with young people most at risk of missing out on future opportunities. Meanwhile, worsening environmental and technological risks challenge leadership's role in healing social fragmentation and ensuring a brighter collective future.

Speakers:
