WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Support the implementation of the Group’s insurable risk strategy.
- Working with our insurance brokers, and in accordance with the agreed strategy, the role with be responsible for procurement and maintenance of certain insurance programmes to ensure efficient, effective and consistent coverage across the group. The exact classes may vary from time to time depending on interest and development needs, but will include Employee Benefits, D&O and some of the Group’s other P&C programmes.
- Support the management of the insurance brokers, including running regular status update meetings to ensure delivery on a timely basis, and to drive improvements to process and delivery.
- Provide operational and technical escalation point for queries arising from our End Markets. This includes ensuring appropriate and timely response is provided by our brokers where appropriate, or alternatively responding directly to the business, depending on the nature and urgency of the query.
- Challenge End Markets to ensure compliance with Treasury Policy.
- Support the Group’s ERM activities through delivery of the Regional and Function risk submissions – the exact regions and functions will vary from time to time.
- Attend Risk meetings and where appropriate present on specific topics.
- Engagement in meetings with various internal and external service providers.
- Deliver and/or support ad hoc Insurance and ERM projects as needed.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Relevant Finance or Insurance qualification is required.
- Relevant experience of placing and managing global insurance programmes is required.
- Strong excel, word and power point skills are a pre-requisite.
- Experience with Captives would be beneficial.
- Good understanding of global consumer goods business and operating models is desirable.
- Good facilitation and interpersonal skills is required. The job holder is expected to deliver presentations and lead discussions at a certain level.
- Awareness of Enterprise Risk Management principles would be beneficial, although not a pre-requisite as full training will be provided in this area.
- Strong written communication skills, able to produce high quality documents.
- Ability to simplify complex situations, synthesise, communicate and present complex information.
- Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and to be able to manage time effectively.
- Attention to detail is required due to the complexity of the reports produced.
