The Insurance Advisor will be responsible for:
- Acting as an interface for the Insurance team, responding to a wide range of Tour Operators’ Liability queries from across the easyJet holidays business sent to the Insurance Team email box.
- Supporting our claims handling process by interfacing with internal stakeholders and our external claims handlers. Including providing information from across the business for claims defence and settlement.
- Supporting the Senior Insurance Manager & Claims Manager with the annual insurance renewal programme by:
- Gathering key data from across the business
- Interacting with our insurance broker and answering broker and/ or insurer questions
- Compiling reports to submit to the broker and the insurance market
- Adding exposure and policy information onto our cloud based risk management information system
- Assisting with the provision of our claims data
- Working collaboratively with the easyJet holidays operational stakeholders to ensure that incidents are owned and managed appropriately.
- Responsibility for facilitating and reconciling payments to our claims handling supplier.
- Supporting with analysis of supplier performance.
- Supporting with departmental procedures and guidelines; ensure all routine tasks/ procedures are documented, revised as needed. Ensure a continual improvement methodology is maintained.
- Supporting with the preparation of meeting packs for the Insured Claims Large Loss Panel and Recoveries Panels.
- Supporting the team to build and develop the relationship with insurance brokers, insurers, insurance legal advisors, loss adjusters & risk consultants ensuring that service provision is in accordance with contractually agreed terms where relevant.
- Supporting with the Insurance team’s internal engagement plan across the business by co-ordinating diaries, meetings, minutes, and actions.
- Supporting our programme of claims review meetings and large loss panels by co-ordinating diaries, meetings, minutes, and actions.
- Supporting the Claims Manager where necessary in managing the insured claims process and individual claims for the Tour Operators’ Liability Programme. Ensure a continual improvement methodology is maintained to improve the effectiveness of claims made and defended.
- Support any tender processes for new relationships and services in relation to insurance and insurance support providers.
- Supporting our existing Insurance Advisor where volumes and/or absence dictate the need.
- Operate with absolute integrity and sensitivity, supporting the Claims Manager to also do so, in the management of Tour Operators’ Liability insured claims striking a balance between offsetting liability for easyJet and ensuring customers and employees are treated fairly.

To do this role you need MS Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint/ Outlook and general computing skills, plus communication skills - including interpersonal, negotiation, influencing, written and presenting. Having an interest in Insurance/Risk Management and developing a career as an in-house insurance professional is key! Strong multi-tasking skills and experience of balancing priorities to meet deadlines are important, plus a high degree of literacy (including digital) numeracy. You need to be innovative and willing to suggest and consider alternate approaches that deliver value to the business, as this will really help you thrive and grow with us at easyJet! Insurance claims and risk management experience (in-house or for a broker, insurer, claims handler or law firm) is beneficial but not essential.
