We have a new opportunity in our Flight Operations support team, and we are currently recruiting for a Digital Operations Specialist. You’ll be part of a team are responsible for the device administration and document management systems within easyJet Operations. The systems are easyJet Group Operations Services (GOS) functions.  

Job Purpose

In this role you’ll report into the Flight Operations Manager - Digital Operations and be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of the Company iPad solution. The role will have a key relationship with the Crew Devices team within the Technology department.

 

Job Accountabilities

Reporting to the Flight Operations Manager – Digital Operations and will be accountable for:

  • Performing user acceptance testing for crew device hardware, build configuration, security, operating system, and applications.
  • Working with relevant SMEs to ensure apps and content are fit for purpose.
  • Author and maintain user guides, training material and procedural documentation as required.
  • Ensure developments and enhancements to device platform is effectively communicated to end-users, management, and training departments.
  • Monitor and accurately investigate Safety Reports.
  • Liaise with all relevant easyJet departments to ensure a close working relationship.
  • Liaise with all relevant suppliers to ensure an efficient and effective service.
  • Recording, responding to, and administering an effective system of feedback on the performance of the Company iPad EFB, and any applicable software installed.
  • Coordination of all proposed additions, changes, or amendments to EFB procedures with Flight Operations Manager – Digital Operations as applicable.
  • Ensuring that the EFB Policy and Procedures Manual is updated and maintained in accordance with applicable regulations and company standards with the Flight Operations Manager – Digital Operations and Swiss AOC EFB administration team.
  • Responsible for applicable Company iPad application roadmap(s).
  • Deputising for FlySmart+ Gateway EFB administration and working with relevant SMEs to ensure updates are published as planned as and when required.
  • Provide Company iPad support to all end users.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as instructed by the Flight Operations Manager – Digital Operations.

 

Requirements for the Role

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • An understanding of the iOS and iPad platform.
  • Experience at creating end-user training materials.
  • Experience of test execution in a Business Systems environment.
  • Knowledge of business processes and terminology.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience of managing stakeholders.
  • Experience with using all Office365 applications, including PowerApps.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Understanding of EASA regulation SPA.EFB.100.
  • Experience working with Flight Operations EFB applications.
  • Experience developing and managing application roadmaps.
  • Experience of a business change management process.
  • Experience in the aviation sector is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of MDM administration.

This is a full-time role is based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week with some international travel.
