As Senior Risk Adviser you will: •Help teams across the organisation to identify, evaluate and document the significant risks faced by Save the Children UK •Support teams in developing appropriate mitigations plans across all three lines of defence to prevent, minimise, manage or transfer risk •Deliver assurance as part of our second line of defence by testing and monitoring compliance with internal policies and relevant external laws and regulations •Escalate any identified breaches or material issues to line managers and senior management for follow up •Assist the Risk Manager in building and mentoring an effective internal network of risk champions who will help their divisions and teams to identify and manage their risks. To be successful as Senior Risk Adviser, you must be an experienced compliance and/or risk professional with practical experience gained through working in risk, audit or compliance. You must have excellent organisational skills with the ability to take on a variety of work with minimal supervision and good attention to detail. You will also have: •The ability to work in close collaboration with key individuals and teams •Good communication skills in written and verbal English •Excellent administrative skills •The ability to deliver accurate results on time •Discretion in dealing with confidential matters.
