Key Areas of Responsibility

As part of the wider Risk and Assurance team at intu, you will be expected to support the Group Insurance Manager in developing and maintaining appropriate processes and procedures to meet the wider team and corporate objectives. The Risk and Insurance teams are highly regarded at intu, supporting the business to develop and innovate by providing the necessary framework to maximise opportunities, whilst ensuring that risks are considered, managed and transferred where appropriate.  The team also provide limited funding to assist the business to manage risks.

You, working with the Group Insurance Manager, will help develop the future strategic direction for the Risk and Insurance functions, as part of a wider collaborative team.  Your main responsibilities will be;

  • ensuring adherence with the the intu claims management strategy and processes
  • liaising with centres to collect information required for disclosure in claims for all classes of business
  • recording claims within strict timescales and managing the relationship with the insurers to provide them with all the information that they require to make a decision regarding liability
  • feeding back to centres regarding the outcome of claims and improvements that they can make to their processes
  • reconciling claims data against MI provided by insurers and querying anomalies
  • analysing insurance data to highlight trends and drive improved risk management with reporting to relevant channels
  • managing and administering the allocation of risk management funds process
  • updating insurers on the progress of risk improvement actions and collating evidence from centres that work is complete
  • managing the motor insurance database for the group, updating it with new and removed vehicles
  • processing purchase invoices for risk and assurance department
  • updating processes and procedures to maximise the efficiency of day to day tasks
  • assisting in the collation of information from all levels of the business for the placement of insurance programmes
  • providing administrative support for large projects, such as Broker reviews and insurance aspects of acquisitions etc.
  • organising opportunity and risk workshops and risk reviews across the business, including preparation of documents required for delivery
  • administering the risk reviews and workshops; including recording discussions and analysing feedback
  • supporting the wider risk and assurance department with other activities as required

Desirable:

  • At least 12 months relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of insurance and/ or the property industry would be a benefit but is not a requirement
