Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Head of Market Development in the delivery of the Airmic market development strategy
  • Contributing to overall partner revenue targets
  • Delivering on Airmic’s membership and partnership growth targets for the Marketplace, Mid-Market and Ireland
  • Delivering on Irish, Mid-Market and Marketplace partners activity programmes through communication with the Heads of Events, Learning, and Research, as well as the Special Interest Group and Membership managers
  • Conduct market research on prospective new or Irish, Mid-Market and Marketplace partners
  • Compile and keep records of partner activity statistics for mid-year and year-end review
  • Annually work with the Head of Market Development and CEO to compile partner packages
  • Assist the Head of Market Development with partner reviews where needed
  • Ensure the Partnership Directory pages on the Airmic website are consistently up to date
  • Support the effective management of relevant content on both the Airmic website and internally within the team
  • Act, in coordination with the Head of Market Development and heads of function, as the representative of Airmic at webinars, roundtables and physical events
  • Act as under-secretary to the Airmic Insurance Steering Group Committee
  • Contribute to the Airmic Business Plan and report progress on Team and Individual KPOs as agreed

Work as an integral member of the Airmic team, assisting with any organisational goals as required, including other reasonable duties requested of the role.  Act at all times as a Champion of Airmic.

 

Qualifications and Professional Affiliations: 

 

  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent (Required)
  • Have relevant experience in the insurance profession (Required)
  • An existing network within insurance industry service providers (Desirable)
  • Possess or be on the path to a relevant CII qualification (Desirable)

 

Knowledge and Skills:

This role requires a team player with a “go to” attitude, drive, and initiative. Airmic has a small team and at times all team members are required to pitch in to support key activities.

Key competencies include:

  • A knowledge of the risk management profession, and it’s principles and practices
  • A knowledge of organisations and trends in local and global insurance markets
  • Experience in project management
  • Excellent time and priority management skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English of the highest level
  • Being adequately numerate
  • An out-going personality with the ability to forge networks and enlist partner participation
  • IT skills including Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and an understanding of how database systems work, and the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Familiarity with new digital communications platforms such as MS Teams, Zoom and LiveStorm

The role is a full time, permanent contract.

The role will involve 35 hours per week.  The job holder will operate out of the Airmic office in London although there is currently dispensation to operate two days per week in the Airmic office with the balance of the time working from home.  Tuesday is currently a team “core” day. There will be occasional travel within the UK and Ireland, including to venues for Airmic events.
