Our ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in managing and leading complex risk and/or insurance operations. Previous experience in a software company would be advantageous, but not essential. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to really develop our insurance programmes, so you’ll need to be self-starter, able to work on your own initiative.
Alongside this, you’ll have
Significant experience of building, embedding, and managing risk and/or insurance governance practices
Up to date awareness of best practice risk and insurance management techniques
Strong delivery focus, ability to perform on a timely basis and with accuracy, and to work well under pressure within a changing environment
Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with colleagues and all levels of management within the company
You’ll also have a relevant professional qualification (i.e. ARM, CPCU, RIMS-CRMP)
Responsible for ensuring that adequate and appropriate coverage is maintained at all times for all Sage entities.
Recognizes and responds to strategic threats and opportunities that may impact Sage’s global insurance programs, including monitoring of complex financial issues that may impact the insurance market.
Leads the response to significant insurance events and claims that impact any of Sage’s global entities through the application of policies and processes.
Producing high quality output, including claims reports that are factually accurate and articulate the nature of issues identified.
Identifies the need for new tools and vendors and leads their evaluation.
Drives significant improvement in key processes/standards and designs and implements new processes/standards.
Provides insurance leadership for significant projects or workstreams, including mergers, acquisitions and disposals.
