easyJet, a leading airline known for its ease, value, and reliability, is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of IT Risk and Resilience. In this key leadership role within the IT Strategy & Architecture team, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing easyJet's IT Risk and Resilience practice.
What you’ll be doing
Your primary focus will be to enable conscious risk-based decision making across the organization and improve the resilience of our critical business capabilities. Reporting to the Director of IT Strategy & Architecture, you will collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, from the C-suite to the frontline, to strike a pragmatic balance between supporting ongoing initiatives and guiding long-term investments.
Requirements of the Role
What you need to do this role
To excel in this role, you will need a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory environment in which easyJet operates, including knowledge of relevant regulations and standards such as GDPR, PCI DSS, and NIS. You should be able to clearly identify, assess, and communicate existing and emerging IT risk positions within the broader business context. Experience in managing risks and controls related to IT governance and management, as well as a strong understanding of IT management/governance frameworks like COBIT and IT-CMF, are essential.
As the Head of IT Risk and Resilience, you will also need to possess exceptional stakeholder management and collaboration skills, demonstrating your ability to propose strategic directions and influence decision making up to the C-level. Prior experience in line management and leading the development of risk and resilience management practices is crucial. Furthermore, a solid understanding of commercial drivers and the strategic context of large-scale businesses, particularly in sectors such as aviation, travel, ecommerce, and logistics, will be advantageous.
