Your responsibilities:
Provide strategic risk and insurance cover advice and guidance to Group and Sector
teams, educating them on insurance strategy and processes.
Responsible for planning, agreeing and ensuring delivery of multi-year risk engineering
survey programme with Property risk engineering providers.
Oversee and manage of the risk improvement recommendations, tracking progress and
partnering with Sectors/ SBUs to ensure compliance.
Manage risk engineering reviews of capex projects, ensuring they meet appropriate fire risk
management standards from the design to construction and operation.
Manage external suppliers to the insurance function, negotiating terms and remuneration,
reviewing KPIs and running tenders to assist the business in appointing external providers.
Obtain and maintain a deep understanding of JM’s operating businesses and their current
and emerging risks and ensure these are adequately explained and presented to JM’s
insurance brokers and insurers as appropriate.
Maintain efficient communication with businesses and sectors to ensure the prompt
reporting of any changes in insured risks and exposures to insurers in line with JM’s
disclosure obligations.
Oversee and manage the insurance procurement process for global and local insurance
placements, including the insurance renewal information/data collection process, insurance
costs allocation, budget guidance, premium recharges, and external payments.

Requirements for the role:
Demonstrable previous experience in a support function (preferably finance function)
CII, IRM or ARM qualification or equivalent
Very good understanding of insurance principles as well as wider business knowledge
Good strategic vision and leadership
Excellent internal and external stakeholder management experience
IT literate on MS Office including advanced skills in MS Excel
