JOB PURPOSE

> To support the operation on fleet issues, ensuring that the operation is delivered to the required levels of resilience, particularly in terms of standby aircraft and the feasibility of the flying programme.

To ensure a robust flying programme, this role must optimise requirements from all concerned parties, including Commercial (both in Revenue and Network terms), Customer (both in Customer Service and Customer Relationship terms), Sales (Corporate and Holiday), Public Relations, Investor Relations and Legal & Procurement, as well as all Operational teams

 

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

> Maintaining the Fleet Allocation Plan for the current season, prior to the day of operation including updating and distributing it as required

Maintaining standby aircraft levels for the current season, ahead of the operational month and coordinating enacting changes where required

Optimisation of lines of flying to account for additional resilience measures required, for example relocation of firebreak, creation of required maintenance down time or aircraft base swap points

Strategy of aircraft allocation for base maintenance and reviewing performance delivery

Coordination of any commercial requirements to capitalise on additional revenue and balance against operational capabilities

Coordination and planning of all crew base training activity with all parties

Collation and dissemination of commercial and operational event information such as public holidays and runway closures

Supporting the application for all seasonal and aircraft-related route permits

 

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

> At least one year’s experience within an Airline Operations department or as a Ground Handling agent

Commercial awareness and good communication skills.

Ability to work as part of a team in an ever changing fast paced environment

Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact and influence people at all levels

High level of attention to detail.

Robust problem-solving skills and a challenging mind-set

Resilience and the ability to work under pressure

Experience of process improvement

 

LOCATION & HOURS OF WORK

This full-time role will be based in Hangar 89, London Luton Airport, and will be 40 hours per week.
