Airmic is the association for everyone who has a responsibility for risk management and insurance in their organisation. The CEO of Airmic has the privileged position of representing a very large proportion of the risk and insurance professionals who collectively both have oversight of over £8bn of insurance spend and help to manage the risks of the largest and most successful organisations in the country.
The new CEO will take over an established role managing a dedicated secretariat, reporting to a board of directors taken from the Airmic membership and working with a large network of partners and sponsors.
Airmic provides key representation services to its members. Over the last decade Airmic has been heavily involved in bringing in the Insurance Act and Enterprise Act and influencing the market regulatory framework and culture for our members. The CEO must be able to assimilate the issues and effectively channel communications to third parties.
The CEO must also drive Airmic's training and technical programmes and plan and promote the biggest risk management conference in the UK. Airmic also promotes and publishes many thought leadership reports including the series of “Roads to ….” publications: (Ruin, Resilience and Revolution) as well as member guides.
The new CEO will take over during a time of rapid change for members’ businesses and for the wider risk community, with new and emerging risks, changing business models as a result of digital and technological disruption, and new regulations in risk governance all of which also bring new demands on Airmic.
