Analyst – Corporate Insurance & Risk Management

The Analyst, Corporate Insurance & Risk Management (CIRM) will support the operational management and delivery of key liability insurances and the co-ordination of applicable loss reporting and prevention programmes.   This role will connect the insurance programmes to what the real drivers are within the business. It’s important that you are familiar with Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS) and that you are able to understand and work internally and identify the key events and issues that can give rise to claims and damages and you  will also continuously realign the components of insurance policies, so programmes remain fit for purpose.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Engagement and communication with the local operating companies and Finance teams required to ensure the local placement of the annually renewable globally negotiated programmes and to address local operating companies’ queries.
  • Renew annual insurance programmes to support business activities, to include Motor, Employer’s Liability, Business Travel, Sports and Social and Small Craft.
  • Support the Managers in implementing the principles for premium allocation, continuous development of the premium allocation models and engage as required with the fronting partners, brokers/consultants and local operating companies.
  • RMIS platform – implement the strategy set by the Managers, oversight of data collection and verification processes to ensure accurate data upload and provide management reporting.
  • Define and implement the servicing and administration requirements with all fronting insurers for the successful and compliant local placement of all globally negotiated programmes, under the guidance of the Managers.
  • Co-ordination of internal and external meetings to manage the delivery of all global administration requirements, to include overseeing policy issuance and premium collection.
  • Oversight of premium payments across all global programmes and escalation of issues to the Managers.
  • Liaison with middle office to ensure third party oversight and vendor set up are completed for new vendors.
  • Assist the Managers with the development, co-ordination and implementation of loss prevention strategies.
  • Oversight of Motor and Marine claims and escalation large and complex claims to the Managers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Qualified to Degree level or equivalent further academic qualifications.
  • Professional Insurance Qualification or experience with an Insurer or Insurance Broker or similar corporate role.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships, across different functions and different countries.
  • Experience of working with risk management information systems.
  • Financial and analytical proficiency.
  • Good attention to detail. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills e.g., Board paper writing, presentations to senior management. 
  • Excellent time management.

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Commerce Degree plus professional insurance qualification or significant equivalent experience in a corporate role.
