Insurance Procurement - a joint CIPS & Airmic guide

Airmic has been working with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) to produce a joint guide to the procurement of insurance. This joint guide has now been published and is available as a free download. The purpose of the guide is to help insurance buyers / risk managers and procurement professionals work together to ensure that an appropriate insurance procurement process is followed when buying insurance and insurance related services. The guide also considers factors that should be taken into account when making insurance purchasing decisions.
Airmic members will find that the guide will help when explaining the structure and complexity of insurance programmes to procurement colleagues. The guide may also be of assistance when explaining insurance buying to other colleagues. More information about CIPS can be found at www.cips.org
