New sessions announced

Two new sessions have been added to the conference programme. RIMS President, Janice Ochenkowski, will use a breakout to brief the UK market on their soon-to-be-released Risk Management Professional Growth Model.

Meanwhile, the Programme Committee have chosen regulation as the topic for the Insurance Forum. It will be chaired by Doug Pennycuik of Allianz, with panellists Matthew Browne from the FSA, Sean Greenaway from the European Commission and David Hertzell from the Law Commission already lined up. Entitled “Do the regulators understand our business?”, it will cover areas such as Broker remuneration transparency, the UK subscription market, insurable interest, laws of agency, insurer solvency requirements and competition policy. “Regulation is growing in importance to risk managers. This is a unique opportunity for AIRMIC members to hear this subject debated by senior players and to put questions directly to them in a public arena,” said chief executive John Hurrell.
